David designed and crafted for our Shinto-style spiritual center, a pair of elegant, nesting ceremonial tables. He carefully selected just the right pieces of white oak and black walnut, and joined them together without using hardware of any kind. The thin, gently curved lines in these pieces evoke feelings of peace and beauty that are reminiscent of a serene Japanese zen-like setting.
David also designed and built a pair of free-standing cabinets that complement the nesting tables in a subtle East-West balance. These Western pieces are designed and built with the same level of artistic achievement as the Eastern testing tables.
